1. Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, France

The chapel sustained damaged during the French Revolution. But almost two-thirds of the windows are the originals.

2. St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, Czech Republic

Atop a hill, the Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral towers over Prague. Construction began on the cathedral in 1344. Prague buried many of its greatest rulers here. 
Inside, sun rays shine through the stained glass bathing the pews in colored light.
The reconstruction of the cathedral finished in 1929. In 1931 a new stained-glass window by Mucha was installed in the north nave. 

3. La Sagrada Familia

If you're heading to Barcelona, Spain, La Sagrada Familia is a must-see. The architect, Antoni Gaudi, was a master of Modernista architecture. La Sagrada Familia is a late 19th-century masterpiece. 
The stained-glass windows reflect the modern style and range in shape and color. 

4. Nasir Al-Mulk Mosque in Shiraz, Iran

Nicknamed Pink Mosque and Mosque of Colors because of its beautiful stained-glass windows. The sun's rays shine through the windows and light up the interior in a dazzling array of colors.
They built the mosque in the 1800s. Be sure and visit in the early morning for the full experience of kaleidoscopic color. 

5. Chartres Cathedral 

This beautiful cathedral is southwest of Paris in Chartres, France. The church is a beautiful example of French Gothic architecture.
The flying buttresses allowed for gigantic stained-glass windows. The church features a huge rose stained-glass window. It bathes the interior in deep, rich colors. The stained glass windows in the cathedral are from the 14th century. 
The scenes in the stained-glass windows depict legends of the saints. 

6. Palau de la Musica Catalana Skylight

This stained-glass skylight is a masterpiece in three dimensions. It symbolizes the sun and sky with stained-glass windows in arches. The windows line both sides of the main concert hall.
Shades of gold and blue glass adorn the inverted bell shape that hangs down into the hall.

7. The Chicago Cultural Center Domes

The Preston Bradley Hall features a 38-foot Tiffany glass dome. It's the largest Tiffany glass dome in the world. Artist J.A. Holtzer designed the dome. 
They finished the building in 1897. It the central library for Chicago before becoming the cultural center.
